Chocolate Cake

Flour 1 cup
Granulated Sugar 1/4 cup
Brown Sugar 1/2 cup
Baking Soda 1/2 tsp
Baking powder 1 tsp

butter 1/3 cup (melted nd cooled)
egg 1
cocoa powder 2.5 tbsp

Grease and Line 8" cake tin with parchment. Preheat the oven 180 C (not fan assisited)
Sift the flour, add baking soda and baking powder together , butter,and cocoa powder. Mix with a beater @ the lowest speed possible and then quickly pour the mixture into the cake tin and bake for 25 mins @ 200 C or until a wooden skewer comes out clean from the centre.

let the cake cool down for about 20 minutes and then remove it from the cake tin carefully. It will be extremely soft so handle with care!!! 
u can use any chocolate frosting with walnuts or pecans after cutting the cake into as many layers as u wish.
i use strawberry jam and decorate cake with wafer biscuits and icing sugar.
